Who’s hungry, Nomsters?!? If you’re on the hunt for delicious Thai food in Pasadena, look no further than Bangkok Garden. Trust me, this place has it all – nomtastic eats, a wonderful interior, and top-notch service. SO, let’s dive right into the good stuff – here’s everything I ordered this time around:
1. Kanom Jeeb ($7.95) – These steamed pork and crabmeat dumplings were delightful. These flavorful dumplings make a perfect starter, and you can also get ’em fried if you prefer.
2. Pad Thai with chicken ($14.95) – Without a doubt, one of the best Pad Thai dishes I’ve had in Maryland. The portion size was generous, and the pricing was reasonable. If you’re in the mood for a different protein, you can add noms like duck or crispy chicken for an extra charge. 10/10.
3. Kana Moo Grob ($16.95) – This was a dish from their secret Thai menu, and it stole the show IMO. It was stir-fried Chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly, and it was pure perfection. The pork belly was super crispy, and the combination with the flavorful greens was nothing short of divine.
4. Green Curry with pork ($13.95) – While all the dishes were fantastic, the Green Curry was my least favorite, mainly because the Pad Thai and Kana Moo Grob were so strong. This dish was still solid though so if you’re craving green curry, go for it!
The staff’s really friendly and accommodating, and parking’s a breeze. They also have a killer spice rack so if you like heat, definitely make sure to ask for it. I love and always have loved Thai chilis in fish sauce so it’s a must for me. My mouth’s low key watering just thinking about it, lol. It’s hot though so consider yourself warned.
