Diablo Doughnuts: Creative Donuts in Nottingham, MD

July 21, 2026

Craving donuts that go way beyond a basic glazed? Diablo Doughnuts in Nottingham, MD is a Baltimore-area donut shop known for wildly creative flavors and hilarious names. My standout is the creme brulee, filled to the brim with Bavarian cream. Expect to pay somewhere between $2.75 and $3.75 a pop.

So when National Donut Day rolled around, you already know I had to celebrate with a proper box of noms, lol. I’d been wanting to feature this spot for the longest time, and their donuts more than live up to the hype. It’s easily one of the more fun donut experiences I’ve had in the Baltimore area, and if you’ve never made the trip out to Nottingham for these, let me put you on.

What Diablo Doughnuts Is Known For

Diablo’s whole thing is unique flavors with names that’ll make you laugh out loud. Case in point, one of their topsellers is a Fruity Pebbles donut called “Unicorn Farts.” I mean, come on, lol. It’s the kind of place where half the fun’s just reading the menu before you even take a bite, and I love that they don’t take themselves too seriously.

They do both yeast and cake donuts here, and honestly, both are really good, which isn’t always the case at every shop. If you’re not sure which camp you’re in, yeast donuts are the light, airy, pillowy ones (usually what gets filled), while cake donuts are denser and a little more rich, almost like eating a slice of cake in donut form. A lot of Diablo’s standouts are filled, and I mean properly filled, so you get that rush of cream or fruit in every bite. If you like a shop that leans all the way into fun, over-the-top combos, they hit the same note as Sandy Pony Donuts, where I worked my way through a bunch of their two dozen-plus made-to-order flavors.

What to Order at Diablo Doughnuts

Pricing here’s on the more expensive side (roughly $2.75 to $3.75 per donut), but the noms are pretty gourmet IMO so I think they’re worth it. Here’s everything I’m always reaching for:

Creme Brulee

This is my absolute favorite. It’s got a really beautiful exterior, and it’s filled (and I mean FILLED) with Bavarian cream. Absolutely delicious, and the one I tell everyone to get first. If you only have room for a single donut, this is the move.

Raspberry Bomb

Another favorite. It’s stuffed with tons of fruity goodness, and it’s a must if you’re into filled donuts. The fruit keeps it from feeling too heavy, which I appreciate. That filled, gourmet energy reminds me of the cronuts at Dulceology in Baltimore, another spot where you pay a little more than usual but the donuts fully earn it.

“Your Mom” Chocolate Cake Donut

Yes, that’s really the name, lol. It’s a chocolate cake donut with peanut butter icing, and the chocolate and peanut butter combo hits every time. If you’re more of a cake donut person than a filled one, this is where I’d start. One of my go-tos.

Baltimore Scream

This one wasn’t pictured in my reel, but it’s a favorite of mine. Think chocolate icing, filled with Bavarian cream, and topped with sprinkles. If the creme brulee is your thing, you’ll want this too. It’s basically the chocolate lover’s version, and the sprinkles make it feel a little celebratory.

And of course, if you’re bringing kids (or you’re just young at heart, lol), you gotta grab the Unicorn Farts for the Fruity Pebbles crunch and the name alone.

How Much Are Donuts at Diablo Doughnuts?

Donuts here run roughly $2.75 to $3.75 each, which is a bit more than your average shop. That said, these aren’t your standard grocery store donuts, they’re filled generously, the flavors are creative, and they lean gourmet, so the pricing tracks for what you’re getting. If you’re building a box for a group, it adds up faster than a budget-friendly spot would, but for a treat, I think it’s fair.

Are Diablo Doughnuts Worth the Price?

Short answer, yes. Their donuts run a bit pricier than your average shop, but the flavors are creative, the fillings are generous, and the quality’s there, so I don’t mind paying a little extra for a treat this good. That’s exactly why they landed on my roundup of the best donuts in Maryland. And I’m clearly not the only fan, they’re sitting at a 4.7 on Google with over 900 reviews, which is no small feat for a donut shop. If you’re only grabbing one, make it the creme brulee.

What Else Does Diablo Doughnuts Serve Besides Donuts?

Quite a bit, actually. Beyond the donuts, they’ve got some savory options, other pastries like fritters and cruffins, and various drinks to round things out. So if you’re rolling through with a group and not everyone’s in donut mode (who ARE these people, lol), there’s still plenty to grab. It also makes it an easy spot to swing by for a quick weekend breakfast, not just a dessert run.
