I’d heard great things about Anh-mazing Banh Mi for ages, and I went a while back but completely forgot to post about them, oops. Better late than never, right? This little Vietnamese spot lives inside The Common Kitchen, the food hall over in Clarksville, and one bite of their Chinese BBQ pork banh mi told me I’d been missing out.
That sandwich is the star of the show, full stop. Because it’s tucked into a food hall, you can build a whole spread with whatever your table’s craving. Parking’s a breeze thanks to the big lot, and there are solid vegetarian options too.

What Makes Anh-mazing Banh Mi Special?
Anh-mazing is a counter-service banh mi stall, so the move is simple: walk up, order, and grab a seat anywhere in the hall. What sets it apart in Howard County is the range. Beyond the classic banh mi, they do a pork lemongrass version, a tofu banh mi, a plant-based Beyond banh mi, rice bowls, a beef rice noodle bowl, veggie bao, and even Vietnamese iced coffee, so it’s an easy one whether you’re a meat-eater or you’re keeping it vegetarian.
The sandwiches are the thing they’re known for though, and the Chinese BBQ pork is the one that made me a believer. For a quick, budget-friendly lunch that doesn’t skimp on flavor, this stall punches way above its size.
What to Order at Anh-mazing Banh Mi
Chinese BBQ Pork Banh Mi ($11)
This is the star of the show and the first thing you should order. Think sweet-and-savory Chinese BBQ pork stuffed into crispy bread with chicken pate, house-made Vietnamese mayo, cucumbers, pickled daikon, carrots, and cilantro. It was loaded with meat, and all those pickled veggies kept every bite bright against the rich pork. I’d 100% get this again, and if you only try one thing here, make it this!

Summer Rolls ($6)
A great way to kick things off. I got the pork and shrimp, but you can also do just shrimp, just pork, or tofu if you want to keep it meat-free. You get two in an order and they come with a side of yum peanut sauce! Tasty and a great way to start the meal.
Spicy Chicken and Peanut Noodles ($12)
These weren’t my favorite of what I got, but they were still solid and the portion was generous for the price. If you’re going with a group, they round out the order, but I’d point your first picks at the banh mi. Worth knowing the menu goes well beyond the Chinese BBQ pork too: there’s a pork lemongrass banh mi, plus tofu and plant-based Beyond versions if you’re keeping it meat-free, along with rice bowls, a beef rice noodle bowl, and veggie bao.
What’s a Banh Mi?
Banh mi’s a Vietnamese sandwich built on a light, crackly baguette, a delicious leftover of the French colonial era that Vietnam made completely its own. The magic is in the contrast: a savory protein (here, that Chinese BBQ pork) layered with pate and mayo, then piled with pickled daikon and carrot, cucumber, and fresh cilantro, so every bite’s rich and bright at the same time.
Eating Your Way Through The Common Kitchen
The fun part about Anh-mazing is that it’s one stall inside The Common Kitchen, a food hall in Clarksville Commons where a bunch of independent vendors share one big space with communal indoor and outdoor seating. That means you can grab your banh mi and still let everyone at the table do their own thing.
A few counters over you’ve got the globe-trotting gourmet hot dogs at The Nomadic Glizzy, and the whole place has a laid-back, grab-what-you-want energy. It’s a genuinely easy spot to bring a group with different cravings.
The Vibe and Experience
The vibe is casual and low-key, exactly what you want from a food hall. You order at the counter, find a table, and settle in, and because it’s inside Clarksville Commons there’s both indoor seating and a patio when the weather’s nice. It’s great for a low-stress meal with a group where everyone wants something different. Parking’s never a stress thanks to the big shared lot.

Is Anh-mazing Banh Mi Worth A Trip?
I’d say yes if you love a solid banh mi and you’re anywhere near Clarksville. The Chinese BBQ pork sandwich alone is worth the trip, the prices are budget-friendly, and the food-hall setup makes it an easy yes for a group. Make it part of a bigger Common Kitchen run and grab momos from Momo Hub while you’re there. It’s a quick, delicious, low-commitment lunch that I should’ve gotten to way sooner.
