Not gonna lie, some of my favorite food finds are the ones I’ve been meaning to try forever, and Bi Bi Cafeteria’s a perfect example. I’d been wanting to check it out, so when I had an X-ray done at a nearby hospital, I finally made the stop and treated myself to something yummy afterward. Best decision ever.
Bi Bi’s a casual little deli run by two sisters, and it’s exactly the kind of budget-friendly, big-flavor lunch counter I’m always hyped to tell you guys about. I grabbed a few things to-go, and between the buffalo tenders and that Volcano Wrap, I totally get why people kept telling me to go. If you work anywhere near Columbia or you just love a good hidden gem, this one’s worth hunting down, Nomsters!

Why Bi Bi Cafeteria Stands Out for Lunch in Columbia
Bi Bi’s not fancy, and that’s the whole charm. It’s a small, cafeteria-style deli tucked into an office park off Lee Deforest Drive, run by two sisters who clearly care about what comes out of that kitchen.
The menu’s all the comfort-food handhelds you want on a weekday, tenders, wraps, cheesesteaks, burgers, salads, plus a full breakfast, and the prices are refreshingly affordable. It’s the kind of spot that lives on word of mouth (a bunch of you told ME to go before I finally did), and once you find it, it sticks in the lunch rotation. Just know it’s a weekday-only, daytime deal, which we’ll get to.
What to Order…
Here’s everything I got to-go, plus what I’d steer you toward.
Buffalo Tenders with Celery and Fries ($13.99)
A bunch of you swore by these, and I get the hype. The tenders come five big pieces deep over crinkle fries with celery and ranch, and it’s honestly great bang for your buck. That sauce is the star, I loved it so much they were kind enough to hand me extra for dipping. My one note? I like my tenders a little crispier, so texture-wise they weren’t my absolute favorite, but the flavor more than made up for it. I’d order these again in a heartbeat.

The Volcano Wrap ($8.99)
I almost went for a turkey club, but Lisa, one of the owners, talked me into this instead and I’m so glad she did. It’s grilled buffalo chicken with lettuce, tomato, mozzarella, and chipotle mayo on a wheat wrap, and the buffalo-and-chipotle combo is delish! For under ten bucks, it might be the best value on the whole menu. This is the one I’d tell a first-timer to get.

The Philly Steak and Cheese ($14.99)
This came with fries and a 22oz fountain drink, so it’s a full meal deal. It was tasty, though real talk, it’s not an ‘authentic’ Philly, and the bread was a touch softer than I personally like. Totally a preference thing, but if it’s your first visit, I’d point you to the tenders or the Volcano Wrap first.
A Few More Things Worth Knowing…
They also do breakfast at really affordable prices (I’ve got my eye on that breakfast burrito for next time), and there’s a bigger menu of sandwiches, omelets, wraps, and even a Friday fish fry. Oh, and the sisters comped me some homemade cookies, which, as a certified sweets person, I inhaled on the spot.
Why This Office-Park Gem Is Worth the Detour
Here’s the thing, I have such a soft spot for places like this. Bi Bi’s tucked away where you’d never stumble on it by accident, run by two sisters who treat you like a regular from the jump. Lisa steering me toward the Volcano Wrap, the extra dipping sauce, that’s the stuff that turns a lunch stop into something you remember. Parking’s easy, the service is quick and friendly, and you walk out having spent very little on a genuinely good meal. It’s mom-and-pop energy at its absolute best.

The Vibe and Experience
Don’t come expecting a big dining room. Bi Bi’s a small, casual counter with a little indoor and outdoor seating, and most folks grab their food to-go like I did. It’s the definition of a weekday lunch spot, open Monday through Friday from 7AM to 3PM, so it’s built around the office crowd nearby.
Service is fast and friendly, they take cards, and parking in the lot is a breeze. If you’re piecing together a Columbia food day, it pairs well with other local faves like Kokee Kitchen for a chicken sandwich or Mikey and Mel’s Deli over in Maple Lawn.

Yes, especially if you’re after an affordable, satisfying weekday lunch and you don’t mind that it’s a little tucked away. The Volcano Wrap and buffalo tenders are the ones to beat, the value’s hard to top, and the two sisters running it make you want to come right back.
