Hi Nomsters! If you know anything about me, it’s that I have a serious sweet tooth so when I find a bakery that actually delivers, I have to share. Like I’m obligated to, lol.
Enter Touche Touchet Bakery in Elkridge, a super popular local spot for breakfast and my personal go-to for beignets in the Maryland burbs. If you’ve been craving pillowy dough with yummmmm fillings, this place needs to be on your radar.
Why Touche Touchet Bakery Is Worth a Visit
This place is known as a breakfast favorite, but let’s be real, the beignets are the star of the show. They’re soft, melt-in-your-mouth, and the filling-to-dough ratio is chef’s kiss. It’s one of those spots where you order at the counter, grab a seat, and immediately start planning what you’ll order next time.
What to Order (Especially If You Love Sweets)
Filled Beignets:
- $5.50 for 3 filled beignets
- You can mix and match flavors or get three of the same
- The filled ones are absolute bangers – light, fluffy, and magical
I haven’t tried the regular beignets yet (they’re $3.50), so if you do… report back for the rest of us.
Banana Beignets:
- $6.25 per order
- These are more dense than the filled ones, but still good
- Served with a caramel-ish dipping sauce, YAY
What Else to Know Before You Go
They have a second location in Columbia, but the menu there is much smaller and beignets aren’t available, so the Elkridge location is definitely the move if that’s what you’re after.
Touche Touchet also offers daily specials for both breakfast and lunch, and the setup is super casual. You order at the counter and then sit wherever you’d like. There are a handful of outdoor tables if the weather’s nice, and parking is easy peasy, which is always a huge plus.
If you’re looking for a solid local bakery with standout beignets – especially outside the city – Touche Touchet Bakery is absolutely worth the stop.
