Hey Nomsters! Soooo I forgot to do one for August, BUT I feel like it’s not too late to do one for September, lol. It’s always hard to do list posts like this, but here are 5 of my favorite bites (NOT RANKED).
1. Cake Out’s Chocolate Dreamcake in Can
If you missed my feature on Cake Out, you NEED to watch my reel. I can’t even begin to tell you guys how much I loved their desserts. Literally everything I got from them was pure magic, but I especially loved their dreamcake in a can. If you’re big into chocolatey things, this is a must try. Pure decadence.
📍Located in Columbia, MD, but they’re a home bakery so there’s not brick & mortar. DM them on Instagram to place an order, Nomsters!
2. Koco’s Pub Crab Cake
I can’t believe this was the FIRST time I’ve had one of their crab cakes. FYI, they 200% lived up to the hype! They were easily one of the most amazing crab cakes I’ve ever had, and I think they may be the best in Maryland, at least IMO. Go, go, GO…and make a reservation if you can because seating fills up *very* quickly.
📍4301 Harford Road, Baltimore
3. Chicken Lab’s Strawberry Bingsoo
Probably the best bingsoo I’ve had in Maryland. I know that’s a bold statement, but I was so pleasantly surprised by theirs. Unlike most bingsoos in the area, theirs is made with milk, and the texture just MELTS in your mouth. If you like desserts, you need to go and experience this. And when you go, for savory, I highly recommend the spicy fried chicken sandwich.
📍1065 S Charles St. Suite 147, Baltimore
4. Always Ice Cream // Annapolis Ice Cream
Listing both spots because they’re the same ice cream wizards. My mom and I am such fans – the service is impeccable, and there’s something for everyone (think vegan + dairy free options). The flavors are so creative, so fun, and SO delicious. The banana chocolate chip + banana options may be my new go-to.
📍196 Main Street, Annapolis (Annapolis Ice Cream)
📍116 Annapolis Street, Annapolis (Always Ice Cream)
5. Da Rae Won’s Jjajangmyun
I’m convinced they have the best jjajangmyun in the entire DMV area. Even my parents ask me to bring them here every time they visit. FYI, jjajangmyun is noodles with pork & black bean sauce. What makes theirs so special is that they make their noodz by hand in house! Love that you can watch & hear them in action – the slapping sounds are oddly satisfying, lol.
📍5013 Garrett Ave, Beltsville
