I recently shared a list of 6 must-try Filipino restaurants in Maryland, and I told you guys I’d be featuring my personal fave in DC next… so here ya go.
Tiki on 18th, located in Adams Morgan, is criminally underrated IMO. My team has been working with them for years, so you might think I’m biased, but I promise you I’m not, lol. Jo-Jo’s food is so ridiculously good, it honestly doesn’t even make sense. And when I say I’ve tried the entire menu? I mean the *entire* menu. So here are my honest-to-goodness favorites if you’re going for the first time… or the tenth.
What to Order (My Personal Faves)
- Gambas al Ajillo ($14): A must for garlic lovers! Shrimp simmered in garlicky oil with just the right amount of heat. Absolutely delicious with the ciabatta it comes with.
- Mumbo Wings ($13): Easily some of the best wings in DC. Crispy, saucy, and super flavorful. They always hit.
- Crunch Time ($7): Fried chicken skins. Not everyone’s thing, but absolutely mine. Ultra crispy and paired with a dipping sauce that is straight-up gas.
- Lumpia ($10): Classic Filipino spring rolls. Choose between pork & mushroom or veggie. Both are great, but pork & mushroom is my go-to.
- Spicy Pork Sisig ($19): I crave this constantly. It’s the best sisig I’ve ever had, and you must get it with garlic rice. If you only order one thing from this list, let it be this.
- Jo-Jo’s Pansit ($24): Incredible pansit topped with ultra-crispy pork belly. They also have a vegan version as an FYI.
- Beef Pares ($25): Pure comfort. Think fatty brisket over garlic rice with the option to load it up with crispy pork belly or chicken skins. Perfect for cold weather or any day you need a hug in food form.
- Ube Cheesecake ($10): Made by Jo-Jo’s wife who is an amazing baker. Creamy, rich, and a non-negotiable order IMO.

Tiki on 18th is also known for its fantastic cocktail program. Their massive back bar selection alone makes it worth grabbing a drink (or two). If you’re looking to save a little, their happy hour runs Monday through Saturday from 4–7 PM and all day Sunday, with deals on both food and drinks.
The late-night scene is great as well, with DJs spinning on Fridays and Saturdays to keep the energy high. Just a heads up on parking: Adams Morgan can be tricky, and the garage next door is convenient but definitely on the pricier side if you can’t find a street spot.
If you’re looking for a Filipino spot with killer food, great drinks, and a fun late-night scene, Tiki on 18th deserves to be at the top of your list. If you go, please let me know what you tried… and whether the sisig changed your life too, lol.
For Filipino dessert after your meal, Bmore Mochichi in Baltimore is making halo-halo and ube soft serve that’s 100% worth the extra stop.
