I’ll be honest, I have absolutely no idea why it took me this long to get to Third Eye Comics in Annapolis. I finally went and immediately regretted not going sooner. This place is NOT what you’re picturing when you hear “comic book store.” The Annapolis flagship is three side-by-side storefronts, each one packed with something different, and I could’ve spent the entire day in there. I had to physically limit myself because I had places to be. I’m already planning my next trip back.
If you’re in the Annapolis area and you’re looking for something fun and different to do, Third Eye Comics is the move. It’s free to browse, there’s no cover charge, and the sheer volume of stuff in there is wild. Let me break it down for you.

What Is Third Eye Comics in Annapolis?
Third Eye Comics is a pop culture mega-store with its flagship location in Annapolis, Maryland. The Annapolis spot is three separate buildings located side by side at 209 Chinquapin Round Road, each operating as its own store. There’s the main comics store, a music and video building, and a games store. Together they cover close to 13,000 square feet of stuff to look at. It’s legitimately one of those places where you walk in and immediately go, “Ok, I’m going to be here for a while.”
What to Browse at Third Eye Comics
The Comics Store
This is the main building and the one most people picture when they think of Third Eye. It carries single-issue comics from Marvel, DC, Image, and independent publishers, plus manga, graphic novels, and pre-order slots. But beyond the actual comics, there’s a solid selection of trading card games (Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon), board games, Warhammer miniatures, action figures, and Funko collectibles. The variety is HUGE. Even if you’re not a comics person, the collectibles section alone is worth a look.
Music and Video
Suite 300 carries vinyl records, CDs, used movies, DVDs, Blu-rays, and band merchandise. Suite 300 carries vinyl records, CDs, used movies, DVDs, Blu-rays, and band merchandise. It’s also an official Record Store Day location. If you’re a vinyl person, this is a MUST stop. The selection goes deep, and the whole vibe in there is relaxed and browsable. It sits right between the comics store and the games store, so you’ll walk through it naturally either way.
Games and Hobbies
The games building is reportedly one of the largest tabletop game inventories in the country. Tabletop games, hobby supplies, horror merchandise, collectibles, and more. It’s directly next to the comics store and has its own entrance off the parking lot. If you’re into tabletop gaming or hobby stuff, set aside extra time here because there is a lot to look through.

Does Third Eye Comics Have Multiple Locations?
Yes, and more than you might expect. Beyond the three-storefront Annapolis campus, there are locations in College Park, Waldorf, and Lexington Park (California, MD) in Maryland, plus two Virginia locations: Short Pump and Mechanicsville. So if you’re not near Annapolis, there’s a good chance there’s a Third Eye somewhere in your area. That said, the Annapolis flagship is the original and the biggest, so if you can make the trip, that’s the one to go to. Their website is thirdeyecomics.com and the locations page at shop.thirdeyecomics.com lists all the current spots with addresses and hours.
The Vibe at Third Eye Comics
It’s relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely fun to walk around. There’s no pressure to buy anything, the layout makes it easy to wander between buildings, and the parking situation is simple too. The lot right there is free and easy to get in and out of. It’s the kind of place where you go to browse and end up having a WAY better time than you expected. The crowd tends to be a mix of lifelong comics fans, record collectors, tabletop game enthusiasts, and people like me who just want to see what’s in there. Everyone’s welcome and it shows.

Soooo are they worth a visit? Absolutely. And if you’re already planning an Annapolis day, it fits perfectly alongside a meal at one of my favorite spots nearby, like Preserve for a farm-to-table lunch or a classic stop at Chick and Ruth’s for diner vibes. Third Eye Comics is one of those places that’s genuinely impressive, free to walk around, and a lot more interesting than the name alone suggests. I’m kicking myself for waiting this long, lol. Don’t make the same mistake.
