Texas Jack’s Barbecue: Must Try BBQ in Arlington

December 15, 2023

Are you in the mood for some delicious BBQ? Well, you’re in luck because I’m featuring Texas Jack’s Barbecue today! SO, without further ado, let’s talk eats.

Must Try Noms at Texas Jack’s Barbecue:

  • Brisket Eggrolls ($12): my mom and I started off with an order of their Brisket Eggrolls. They gave us four huge pieces stuffed with smoked brisket and veggies, and the jalapeño lime dressing that came with was out of this world. It was so good, I low key wanted to purchase a bottle to go, lol.
  • Classic Caesar ($11): this was classic, as you’d expect, but they COVERED it with parm which was a big win in my book. Care for some salad with your cheese? SURE WHY NOT, lol.
  • Regular Meat Medley ($67): If you’re a meat lover, you neeeed to get this set. For just $67, you get half a pound of brisket, three pork spare ribs, half a pound of pulled pork, one sausage link, half a chicken, and two sides. This was a TON of food for us, and we had leftovers for days. And this goes without saying, but everything was really great, but my mom and I especially loved their brisket (super flavorful) and chicken (so, so juicy).
  • Esquites and Crispy Brussels Sprouts Sides: we chose these as our sides, and both were on point. The crunchiness of the Brussels sprouts was the perfect contrast to the juicy, tender meat.
  • Cornbread Muffins (2 for $2.50): sheesh these were good, lol. The Cornbread Muffins are a must-try, and the honey butter that comes with them is heavenly.
  • Key Lime Pie ($7) and Caramel Pecan Bread Pudding ($9): The Key Lime Pie was beautiful and had a perfect balance of sweetness, but the bread pudding stole the show IMO. I’d come back for this dessert alone – it was that good.

Additional Notes

  • They’re usually packed on weekends, so make sure to come early.
  • They have a small parking lot, which is convenient when it’s not too busy. Street parking is available as well though!
  • Their weekday happy hour, from 4 pm to 7 pm, offers both food and drink deals.

Texas Jack’s Barbecue is easily one of the best BBQ spots in NoVa. From the friendly staff to the delicious food and drinks, every element of the experience was spot on. A BIG thanks to their team for hosting us! We had such a blast.
