Ted’s Bulletin Noma: All-Day Comfort Food in DC

August 21, 2026

This post is sponsored by Ted’s Bulletin, but all opinions are my own (as always).

You guys know I don’t say this lightly, but these might be the best mozzarella sticks I’ve had in a minute. The cheese pull? Absolutely ridiculous, in the best way. That was my welcome to Ted’s Bulletin in Noma, the newest of their eight DMV locations, and it was my first time at this particular spot.

Ted’s is that all-day American comfort-food place where you can get breakfast at 4PM, a proper burger, and a house-made dessert that ruins you for the grocery-store versions forever. The Noma location’s got a gorgeous interior and such a warm ambiance, and right now they’ve got a whole cherry blossom and spring menu going that’s worth planning around. Here’s everything I got into and what you NEED to order!

What Makes Ted’s Bulletin a Standout Spot in Noma

Ted’s Bulletin started on Capitol Hill and has grown into a DMV institution, and the Noma spot’s their eighth and newest location. What makes it stand out is the range: this isn’t a place you go for one thing. It’s all-day breakfast, a full lineup of American comfort classics, a serious dessert program, and a bar with milkshakes for grown-ups. The Noma dining room’s spacious and genuinely lovely, the kind of place that works for a solo breakfast, a family dinner, or a boozy brunch with your group. And the fact that they do breakfast ALL day? That alone earns it a permanent spot in my rotation.

What to Order at Ted’s Bulletin

The Crispy Mozzarella Sticks

Start here. The mozzarella sticks were the standout of the whole meal for me, crunchy on the outside with a cheese pull that’s honestly a little obscene, lol. If you order one app for the table, make it these!

The Spinach Artichoke Dip

Right behind the mozz, the spinach artichoke dip was creamy, warm, and exactly what you want to keep dunking into. It’s a great one to share while you figure out the rest of your order.

The Burger and Steak Frites

On the mains, the burger’s a solid, no-nonsense move and one of my standouts. But the sleeper hit was the steak frites, hanger steak with truffle fries, and the chimichurri on top was super flavorful and really made the plate. If you’re torn between the two, get the steak frites.

Do Not Skip Dessert

Ted’s is famous for their house-made Ted’s Tarts, basically pop tarts that put the boxed kind to shame, and the desserts here were a highlight across the board. The new cherry blossom Ted’s tart is SO good and only around for spring, so grab one while you can. If you’ve got a sweet tooth and you’re bouncing around the city, my pick for the best donuts in DC is another must.

A few more to keep on your radar:

  • Breakfast all day, including the fan-favorite mixed berry ricotta pancakes they just brought back.
  • The viral crispy chicken caesar wrap is back on the menu.
  • Limited-time cherry blossom latte, matcha latte, and spring cocktails.

What Are Ted’s Tarts?

If you’re new to Ted’s, their claim to fame is the Ted’s Tart, a house-made take on the pop tart made fresh in-house daily. Think a buttery pastry with a proper filling and a glaze on top, in flavors like strawberry, brown sugar cinnamon, and s’mores, plus seasonal ones like the cherry blossom version they’re running now. They sell thousands of these a week across locations for a reason. Even if you’re stuffed, grab one to go, future-you will be thrilled.

The Vibe and Experience

The Noma location seriously impressed me on ambiance, it’s warm, polished, and comfortable without feeling stuffy. It’s the kind of all-day spot that shape-shifts depending on when you go: relaxed and sunny for a weekday breakfast, buzzy for weekend brunch, cozy for dinner. It works for families, for a casual date, or for a solo meal at the bar. Happy hour runs weekday afternoons too, so it’s an easy after-work stop. Basically, whatever mood you’re in, there’s a version of Ted’s that fits.
