This Might Be the Best Retreat I’ve Ever Stayed In…
I don’t say this lightly, but this may genuinely be the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. Stay Namu in King William, Virginia is exactly what it claims to be: a private woodland retreat…and then some.

Nestled on five acres of peaceful, secluded land, this home is beautifully designed, incredibly thoughtful, and absolutely spotless. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been carefully considered. You can tell the hosts truly care about the guest experience, because nothing feels overlooked.
The house itself is stunning and thoughtfully curated, but what really stood out were the little touches. Fresh coffee beans and a grinder waiting in the kitchen, Courant charging pads on the nightstands, cozy furnishings, and an overall sense of calm that instantly makes you want to slow down and stay awhile.

I picked up Deke on the way, and the drive was an easy two to three hours. We spent a good amount of time just relaxing at the house, but we also loved that Richmond was only about 45 minutes away, making it easy to explore the city and still come back to total peace and quiet afterward. More on that adventure soon.
