If you’re looking for a wonderful tea experience, Reynold’s Tavern is a must visit. My mom and I had the best time here! There was a lot to choose from, but we ultimately went with their Colonial High Tea. Priced at $31 per person, it included:
If you’re making a day of it in Annapolis and want to pair the tea with lunch, The Big Cheese Annapolis is just around the corner near City Dock and serves gourmet sandwiches and specialty cheeses perfect for a casual midday stop.
- Loose Leaf Tea: there was a LOT to choose from, but our server assured us that they would gladly replace our tea if we didn’t find it to our liking.
- Soup or Quiche: I heard amazing things about their cream of crab soup so I obviously had to try that. My mom LOVES French onion soup so she decided to pay the extra $3.50 to enjoy it. Both soups were delicious, but the French onion was oregano heavy (just an FYI in case you’re not a fan of oregano, lol).
- Tiered Tray of Noms: The highlight of the experience was their beautiful tiered tray, showcasing an assortment of savory eats, delectable sweets + scones. From the cucumber sandwich and wild mushroom tart to the heavenly pound cake and chocolate truffle, each bite was perfection.
To complement our treats, we got the following teas:
- Lili’uokalani: this is apparently one of their bestsellers. It’s inspired by Hawaii’s queen and contains notes of peach, mango, apple, orange, and guava. It was the perfect balance of fruity and fragrant.
- Rooibos: Seeking a caffeine-free option, my mom got this delightful blend that’s otherwise known as the “Long Life Tea” for its anti-aging properties. The comforting flavors of made it an ideal choice for her.
Apart from the food, Reynold’s Tavern impressed us with its impeccable service and inviting ambiance. If you’re a fan of afternoon tea, I highly recommend paying them a visit, especially if you’re in the area. I promise you’ll have a great time!
