Nomsters, today was one of those days where I needed some serious comfort food. Let me tell you, it was A DAY! My fur baby, Daisy, had a scary situation that landed us a trip to the pet ER. Talk about stress— I feel like I aged 10 years in just a few hours, lol. Thankfully, she’s alright now, and I am beyond relieved.
My mom is here visiting, and I wanted to treat her to a delicious dinner out, but we decided to stay in and keep an eye on Daisy. So, we opted for some comforting Vietnamese cuisine from Pho One-O. Here’s what we got:
If you’re ever in the Baltimore County area craving Vietnamese noodle soup, Pho Saigon Hanoi in Parkville is a mom-and-pop worth knowing about, especially for their bún bò Huế.
- Pho Chin ($14 for a large): When it comes to pho, this is our go-to choice. It comes with all the standard fixings, and each spoonful is like a warm, comforting hug. The broth is always flavorful and satisfying. I can’t get enough of it!
- Fried Spring Rolls ($6): We ordered these as a starter, and these were on point! With each order, you get two spring rolls accompanied by their signature fish sauce. It’s the perfect way to start your meal on a high note.
- Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli ($15): This was our first time trying this dish, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was grilled to perfection—tender and marinated beautifully. They gave us a generous portion, and it paired perfectly with the rice vermicelli. There was also chopped lettuce, bean sprouts, pickled carrots & daikon, basil, and their fish sauce to bring it all together.
Despite the stressful day, I’m feeling incredibly grateful tonight. Daisy’s health, my mom’s company, and these delicious eats – there’s a lot to be thankful for <3 Sending you all positive vibes, Nomsters!
