Old Line Kitchen Offers Seasonal Dishes, Wine, and a Cozy Patio
Deke’s back from Mexico (yay!) so we decided to sneak in a little date night. As many of you know, my pup Daisy’s been sick lately, which has made dining out a bit tricky. I can only really go places with pet-friendly patios – and luckily, Old Line Kitchen in Columbia has just that.
I actually celebrated my birthday dinner here not too long ago (and had such a wonderful time). They kindly invited us back to try some new dishes, and the food did not disappoint.
If you’re building a whole date night in Columbia, Sushi Sono is another splurge-worthy option with waterfront views and a sashimi boat that makes the evening feel like an event. And if you want to fold some self-care into your Columbia plans, Even Keel Wellness Spa is a really interesting find, a local wellness spot that offers intra-oral massage for TMJ and jaw pain, one of those treatments you didn’t know you needed until you try it.
What We Ordered at Old Line Kitchen
Here’s a full rundown of everything we tried during our most recent visit:
- Pan Seared Scallop Appetizer ($19)
- House Focaccia ($6)
- Kind of Classic Caesar ($13)
- Whipped Ricotta ($12)
- Herb Stuffed Porchetta ($30)
- Local Corn Risotto ($22 + chicken add-on)

Dish Highlights
While everything was delicious, these were my absolute standouts:
- Local Corn Risotto: This was one of the best risottos I’ve had in a long time. Creamy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with the sweetness of fresh corn. A must-order for REAL!
- House Focaccia: I’m a sucker for good bread, and this focaccia delivered. It came with whipped butter and lavender rosemary sea salt – simple, but packed with flavor.
- Whipped Ricotta: Ricotta blended with herbed gourney cheese, served with rustic bread, vincotto, and citrus gastrique. Light, tangy, and definitely my favorite starter.
