If you haven’t eaten at Northwest Chinese Food yet, you’re high key missing out. They’re known for their incredible knife cut noodles, but they also offer Chinese “Burgers” + other noms. Here’s a summary of everything Deke and I had during our visit:
- Lanzhou Combination Mo ($7.50) – this Chinese “burger” was an absolute delight. This creation’s made with potato slices, egg, and spam, all tucked inside a crispy and thin homemade bread. The balance between the filling and the bun was perfection, with each bite delivering a burst of flavors and textures. The yum spicy sauce refined the experience, making it an unforgettable treat. A solid 10/10 recommendation!
- Hot Oil-Seared Noodles ($10.50) – Northwest Chinese Food has earned its reputation for their knife-cut noodles, and this dish is a testament to their expertise. Served with hot oil, garlic, spices, and a delightful tomato and egg addition (for an extra $3), these noodles are a spicy lover’s dream. For an added kick, we doused our plates in generous amounts of their flavorful chili oil, which took the flavor profile to new heights.
- Lamb Noodle Soup ($19.50) – This bowl of perfection is pure comfort for the soul. This comes with knife-cut noodles, vermicelli, tender lamb, tomatoes, and a variety of mushrooms, and the soup’s hearty and satisfying. I personally like adding chili oil to level up the spice, BUT make sure you sip the soup as is first to fully appreciate the broth.
Run, don’t walk to Northwest Chinese Food. I promise you’ll LOVE the food there!!! If you’re already a fan, comment below with your favorite dishes =) Until next time, Nomsters.
