NEW to Annapolis: RegionAle

January 13, 2024

Update: this LOCATION has permanently closed, so it is no longer open to visit. RegionAle still has other locations. I am keeping the review up for posterity.

RegionAle’s location in Annapolis is finally open, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. As a long-time fan (and my team also does their social media =P), I’m THRILLED to see them expand. Definitely make sure to check them out if you haven’t yet. I promise their food will leave you completely and utterly satisfied.

The interior’s well designed, and I think this might be the coolest RegionAle yet! The team here never fails to impress, consistently serving up drool-worthy sandwiches that slap. Here are some of my personal favorite handhelds:

  • Indiana Pork Tenderloin ($11.50) – This sandwich holds a special place in my heart. The pork’s fried to absolute perfection, and the flavors are balanced so well.
  • Wisconsin Grilled Cheese ($10.50) – This classic sandwich is a guaranteed winner. What sets it apart is the mornay sauce that accompanies it. Creamy, savory, and utterly delicious, it takes the grilled cheese experience to a whole new level.
  • NY Italian Hero ($12.50) – A *solid* Italian hero, stuffed with all kinds of delicious cold cut magic.
  • Philly cheesesteak ($12.50) – There’s a reason why their cheesesteak is a fan fave, and yes, it lives up to the hype. The meat is tender, and the addition of cherry peppers adds a nice tang which contrasts beautifully to the cheesy gooey goodness. They have a mushroom version of this as well, and that’s a banger, too.

Additional notes worth mentioning…

  • The broccoli shred is an absolute must-try side dish.
  • If you’re craving something sweet after your meal, their cookies are a great option.
  • Their salads are incredibly generous in portion size, and you can top it with all kinds of proteins for an upcharge.
  • Happy hour is available on weekdays (hours may vary based on location), so you can enjoy some great deals.
  • Apart from their new Annapolis location, RegionAle also has spots in Canton and Ellicott City, so you can always visit the one closest to you. The Canton brick & mortar has a beer wall, which I still think is really cool, lol.
  • Their espresso martini’s super crushable, and it’s ONLY available at the Annapolis location

So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to RegionAle Annapolis to give their sammies a try. And if you spot me during your visit, please feel free to say hello. I’ll be the one doing whatever I can to get “the shot” =P
