Hey there, Nomsters! I’m reallllly excited about today’s post because I’m featuring a DOPE deal today. I recently paid a visit to the legendary Marathon Deli after work, and I forgot how good their promos were. SO, let me break it down for you:
If you’re already in College Park for a meal, 5th & Steaks is another solid stop nearby, a Philly cheesesteak food truck near UMD doing ribeye on Aversa’s rolls.
- Mondays (10am-10pm): Get any gyro for just $6. Yep, you heard that right!
- Tuesdays (10am-10pm): Craving a chicken or beef steak and cheese? Swing by to enjoy for just $6.
- Wednesdays (10am-10pm): the hump day treat you need: Chicken Parm or Provolone for again, just $6.
Now, let’s talk a bit more about their gyros. They offer chicken or lamb, and both are really delicious so you can’t go wrong with either. They don’t skimp on meat, they fill your handheld up with lots of veggies, AND the pita’s as soft as can be. Plus, the $6 price is such a great value – def make sure you stop by on a Monday to take advantage. I know I’ll be back for more, lol.
And FYI, people go crazy over their marathon sauce. Guests love it so much that they actually sell it by the bottle. I wouldn’t say it’s my *favorite* condiment, but it’s definitely solid. To me, it tastes like a mayo-heavy version of thousand island dressing. I recommend getting their Marathon fries if you want to give it a try!
