Little Spice: My Go-To for Mango Sticky Rice and Thai Takeout in the area
I asked what cuisine you guys were craving on Instagram stories and Thai food took the win (Chinese was right on its heels, so if that is more your mood, peek at my “Best Dim Sum in Bethesda?” post) SO let’s talk about Little Spice. I’ve featured them on social before, and they’re firmly in my regular takeout rotation, but Minje and I went after work a few weeks ago and had the BEST mango sticky rice ever.
The rice came out hot, the mango was super sweet, the coconut sauce was luscious, and we both “mmmMMMMmm-ed” embarrassingly loud at the first bite. 10/10 would do again, and now I only ever want it warm, lol.
🥢 What We Ordered (and What I’d Get Again)
- Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) – Saucy, savory, and exactly the kind of glossy noodle tangle you crave after a long day. A reliable fave here.
- Green Curry – A touch watery this time around, but the aromatics still hit. TBH, I probably wouldn’t get this again, but maybe you guys will like this better?
- Bangkok Steak (Sizzling Plate) – Total showstopper. Tender, nicely seasoned beef arrives sizzling hot, creating that perfect tableside drama. Flavor-packed and one of my favorite non-noodle plates here at LS. This definitely creates the “fajita” effect. Once people see, smell and hear this coming, they all want it as well, haha.
Dessert You Can’t Skip
Mango Sticky Rice (served warm) – Silky coconut cream over chewy, fragrant rice with perfectly ripe mango. Textural heaven and wildly craveable. This is the dish I dream about from here – and honestly one of the best versions I’ve had anywhere in Maryland. I hope it’s as good the next time I go, lol.
Why You’ll Love Little Spice
- Generous portions at great prices – both dine-in and takeout.
- Menu breadth: from Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles to curries, fried rice, and sizzling mains like the Bangkok Steak.
- Customizable spice levels so you can go mild to fiery. If you chase real heat, my “Best Chinese in Towson?” Sichuan pick brings it too.
- Vegetarian-friendly options for almost every section of the menu.
- Incredible desserts, especially that mango sticky rice. I can’t rave about it enough.
