If you are looking for delicious eats in Hanover, you should add Little Spice to your list. They’re a cozy mom-and-pop restaurant that serves flavorful Thai food in a casual, welcoming setting. They’re home to some of my favorite dishes, including their larb gai and their mango sticky rice. I visit often because the food is consistently satisfying, the portions are generous, and the flavors are on point.
If you’re exploring Asian food in this part of Anne Arundel County, Koi Sushi in Glen Burnie is just a short drive over and serves all-you-can-eat sushi worth adding to your list.
What I Ordered at Little Spice
- Fresh Garlic with Chicken ($14.95): this dish is always a great choice! The chicken was nice and juicy, and I loved that it was uber garlicky with lots of vegetables. Plus, the portion was large enough for a second dinner later that night, lol.
- Larb Gai ($7.95): One of my favorite menu items but you gotta like fish sauce because this is PUNGENT. It’s made with minced chicken, onions, and aromatics tossed in a spicy and sour lime juice dressing, and it tastes bright, tangy, and bold. You get some serious citrusy heat with this so consider yourself warned, lol.
- Thai Custard ($7.95): I usually order their mango sticky rice when it is available, but since it’s not in season right now, I got the Thai custard instead. It was smooth, lightly sweet, and very tasty, making it a comforting finish after a filling meal. Definitely recommend giving this dessert a try!
Little Spice is a solid choice if you want good Asian food in Hanover! They also have a second spot in Owings Mills if that’s closer to you guys. Definitely let me know what you think if you end up going!
