YAY for new spots in Anne Arundel County! Lil Cakes and Creamery is officially open in Hanover, and if you’re a dessert lover, this is one you’ll want on your radar.
They’re best known for their cupcakes – baked fresh daily – but that’s just the beginning. The menu also includes ice cream, macarons, milkshakes, and even homemade doggy treats for your four-legged besties (which honestly makes me love them even more).
This was actually my first time visiting Lil Cakes and Creamery, so I was extra excited to finally check them out. I ended up grabbing four cupcakes for $17 total (they’re $4.25 each, FYI), and choosing was not easy. Everything looked so good, but the team recommended these flavors:
- Blueberry Cheesecake
- Better Than a Hostess
- Strawberry Crunch
- Hershey Cream Pie
I’m happy to report that all four were delicious, but my personal standouts were Strawberry Crunch and Better Than a Hostess. The cake itself was light and moist, and the frosting hit that perfect balance – not overly sweet, just smooth and satisfying. Definitely a win in my book.
One thing that made me especially excited? Several of the cupcakes were stuffed. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had a stuffed cupcake, and if you know me, you know I live for a good cross section. If I had my tripod with me, I absolutely would’ve ripped one open on camera for you guys.
