Best New Eats in College Park? Head to Li Chun Cafe…
I’m so excited to feature Li Chun Cafe today. From the owners of Northwest Chinese, this new College Park spot is a serious must‑visit. A HUGE thanks to the team for hosting us – everything was AMAZING. The drink program was exceptional, the bakes are in‑house, and the bing (Chinese street‑style crepe) is a must try.
What We Drank there…
- Tai Ji Mango Yogurt Latte ($7.50) – Special mango‑yogurt + coffee drink, Tai Ji style. SO good I finished it in record time. Low‑key one of the best drinks I’ve ever had; it gets better with every sip.
- Mermaid Milk Tea ($8) – Taro milk tea topped with sea salt milk foam. Tasty and taro‑forward; very Instagrammable. If I had to choose just one, I’d still pick the yogurt latte.
- Strawberry Soy Hojicha ($7.50) – A warm “healing” drink made with soy milk. Comforting strawberry notes over toasty hojicha.
The Headliner: Bing (Chinese Street‑Style Crepe)
Li Chun’s signature is bing – think a thin, griddled crepe filled and rolled with your choice of protein, veggies, and condiments. You can choose white flour or whole wheat (both are solid), then build your own.
Burned Eggplant x Chili Oil Bing ($15.50): This was my pick. I added chicken and had it rolled with spicy-sour shredded potato, burned eggplant, jalapeño, cucumber, and cilantro – the portion was huge (forearm-length and THICC) and super satisfying. For customization, go whole wheat if you want a pleasant nutty depth, or white flour for the classic, slightly chewier bite; and if you love heat, definitely say yes to the chili oil.
For starters, the Platter (Half & Half) at $8.50 is the perfect way to sample Li Chun Cafe’s appetizers. The soft tofu is a must-try – silky, savory, and comforting – while the tea chicken and cucumber salad add a fresh, snackable contrast. If you’re craving something more substantial, go for the Bento at $15.75. It comes with rice, one meat, one side, and one salad, creating a clutch, balanced meal that’s ideal if you’re not in a bing mood.
And definitely save room for dessert, because everything is baked in-house and you can taste quality in every bite. The Fruit Tart is flaky, glossy, and perfectly sweet; the Rose Black Tea Basque Cheesecake delivers floral, tea-kissed richness with caramelized edges; and the Strawberry Matcha Mochi Cookie strikes that irresistible chewy-gooey harmony. Pro tip: share a bing for your main, then split a tart and cookie for dessert.

- Build‑your‑own bing so you can go classic or adventurous.
- Value plays like the half‑and‑half platter and bento.
