Hey there Nomsters! If you’re a fan of Thai cuisine, then you absolutely have to swing by Kook Kai’s Thai Noodles. This lovely family owned spot’s located in Silver Spring, and they’re definitely a hidden gem so make sure you add them to your list of places to visit. Here’s what you should get:
If you’re looking for more Thai food around Montgomery County, Sense of Thai in Bethesda’s Westbard Square just opened with a southern Thai menu and a Chumphon Pad Thai unlike anything else I’ve had in the DMV, and Lime & Cilantro back in Silver Spring does modern Latin food, with creative tacos and a weekend brunch that’s been turning heads.
- Bangkok Wings ($7.95): Fried to crispy perfection, these wings are a great way to kick off your meal. They’re served with a delicious house sauce that has just the right kick, and they’re great for sharing.
- Drunken Noodles with Beef ($13.95): These flavors were super on point! The beef was really tender so I highly recommend that as a protein.
- Crab Meat Fried Rice ($17.95): This dish was a winner! Think flavorful fried rice topped with LOTS of succulent crab, alongside peas, carrots, egg, and onions.
- Green Curry with Tofu ($13.95): The aromatic green curry came with eggplant, bamboo shoots, peppers, and Thai basil – definitely a veggie lover’s dream!
- Mango Sticky Rice ($6.95): A perfect end to a delicious meal. I loved that they infused their sticky rice with butterfly pea flower. And rumor has it, they also offer taro balls and baked taro (or pumpkin) custard so those are options as well.
