Let’s dive right into some of the highlights from my evening:
SOOO excited that Koma Cafe is now open! Led by the talented chef Brad Feickert, also known for Soko Butcher aka one of my favorite sandwich spots ever, Koma Cafe is here to impress. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this gem, and let me tell you, the food is out of this world!
Let’s talk highlights…
1️⃣ Shareables: To kick off the meal, we indulged in marinated judion beans ($6), mushrooms ($8), and braesola ($10), accompanied by freshly baked focaccia. The judion beans were hands down the best I’ve ever tasted, and the mushrooms were irresistibly good. It was a challenge not to fill up on these, lol.
2️⃣ Fusilli ($21): This dish was made with miso pesto, 24-month parm, ricotta, basil, and sunflower. As someone who isn’t typically a huge fan of pesto, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this combination. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and I couldn’t stop myself from going back for more.
3️⃣ Spaghetti ($23): The carbonara with roasted garlic, parm, and breadcrumbs took my love for carbonara to new heights. It was undoubtedly one of the best carbonara dishes I’ve ever had, and I can’t recommend it enough.
4️⃣ Rigatoni ($23): My personal favorite of the evening, this dish featured Prosciutto bolognese, burrata, and chili flakes. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and each bite was super satisfying. Hearty and super comforting, this bowl is a must.
5️⃣ Fennel Pizza ($16): This pizza, a favorite of Deke’s BTW, was topped with artichoke, olives, anchovy, EVOO, and mozzarella. The balance of flavors was impeccable, and the crust was flavorful with a perfectly cooked undercarriage. You won’t be disappointed with this choice!
And let’s not forget about the drinks! The Espresso Martini ($14) at Koma Cafe was exceptional. Its ridiculously tasty nature, coupled with the faretti biscotti foam on top, will have you craving more.
In addition to the incredible menu, here are a few additional notes about Koma Cafe:
