Koi Sushi: All-You-Can-Eat Sushi in Glen Burnie

August 28, 2026

Day 23 of eating at 100 Asian restaurants in Maryland took me back to a spot I already loved, just under a new name. If you’ve followed me a while, you know I was a big fan of Fukuya in Glen Burnie. Well, they’ve moved a few doors down, glowed up the whole space, and rebranded as Koi Sushi & Bar, and I’m happy to report the food’s just as good as I remember.

Here’s the headline: this is all-you-can-eat sushi done at a level that actually impressed me, and I’m not usually an AYCE person. At $30.99 a head, the fish is genuinely fresh, the new interior’s REALLY nice, and it’s easily one of the better bottomless sushi deals I’ve come across in the area. They’d only been open a few weeks when I went, so word might not be fully out yet, but consider this your heads up before the wait gets long!

What Makes Koi Sushi a Standout Option in Glen Burnie

What sets Koi apart is honestly the standard. A lot of all-you-can-eat sushi spots cut corners on quality to make the math work, and this is the rare one where the fish tastes fresh, not tired. Because I don’t usually gravitate toward AYCE, the bottomless spots I actually feature have to clear a real bar, and Koi cleared it.

Beyond the sushi, they’ve got serious range: specialty rolls, sashimi, nigiri, udon, teriyaki, and a bunch of hot appetizers, so even the people in your group who aren’t raw-fish people will eat well. Add in the brand-new, genuinely nice dining room, and it feels like a real upgrade from the old Fukuya space: same quality, better everything else.

What to Order at Koi Sushi

The move here is to order wide and pace yourself. Here’s how I’d play it.

The All-You-Can-Eat ($30.99)

This is the main event, and the whole model here is bottomless. For $30.99 a person you order round after round off the menu, and the freshness holds up even when you’re going back for more, which is the real test with AYCE. The ordering process is a little different now: you used to fill out paper slips, but these days you order from your phone.

It’s straightforward, just know you have to punch in a unique code every single time, which got mildly annoying after a while, lol. Heads up, there’s a two-hour window and a $1-per-piece charge for anything you order and don’t finish, so pace yourself and only grab what you’ll actually eat. Come hungry and you’ll get your money’s worth easily.

Specialty Rolls and Sashimi

Don’t just camp out on basic nigiri, the fun of AYCE here is that specialty rolls and sashimi are on the table too. The fresh-fish quality is where Koi really earns it, so lean into the sashimi and specialty rolls. Mix in some udon, teriyaki, and a couple of the hot apps to break up all the raw stuff and keep your table balanced.

Mango Ice Cream

Save room, because the mango ice cream caught me off guard in the best way. I wasn’t expecting much from an AYCE dessert, but it was surprisingly tasty, the perfect light finish after a big sushi run. Little wins like that are part of why the whole meal felt like such a deal.

What Happened to Fukuya in Glen Burnie?

If you’ve been Googling Fukuya and coming up confused, here’s the deal: Fukuya didn’t close so much as evolve. The same operation moved just a few doors down within the same Glen Burnie plaza and reopened as Koi Sushi & Bar, with a nicer, bigger space and the AYCE format front and center. So if Fukuya was your go-to bottomless sushi spot, the good news is it’s still here, just wearing a new name and a glow-up. The fish quality that made the old spot worth it came right along with it.

The Vibe and Experience

The new room’s a genuine step up: modern, clean, and really nicely done, which matters when you’re settling in for a leisurely two-hour AYCE session. It’s a comfortable spot for a date, a group of friends, or a family outing (and with kids’ AYCE pricing, families come out ahead here).

The location’s super convenient too, right across from the Cromwell Field light rail stop with plenty of surface parking. The Koi team also generously hosted me for this visit, and they were lovely throughout. It’s the kind of place that makes bottomless sushi feel like an actual night out, not a food-court dash.

Is Koi Sushi Actually Legit?

If you love sushi and the AYCE format, Koi’s one of the better deals around, and coming from someone who’s usually AYCE-skeptical, that means something. The fish is fresh, the space is a real upgrade, and it’s a genuinely fun spot to bring a group. Just mind the two-hour clock and the leftover charge, order smart and it’s a steal.
