YAY for delicious new-ish spots in our community! Elliott’s Craft Kitchen has been open for about three months now, and it’s genuinely such a great addition to Columbia. Before we get into the details though, a huge thank you to the team for hosting us – we had such a lovely evening from start to finish.
For another date night option in the area, check out lāk at the Merriweather Lakehouse, a farm-to-table American spot tucked inside the lakehouse.
Let’s talk starters, because I’m not being dramatic when I say: you HAVE to get the pork ribs. They’re $14 and you get four brown sugar curry-rubbed St. Louis ribs that were shockingly tender. Like… fall-off-the-bone, no effort required. And the sauce??? I could’ve fully drank it, lol. We also tried the sizzling shrimp, which was a solid option, but the ribs absolutely stole the show for me.
If you’re craving even bigger portions of fall-off-the-bone ribs, Copper Canyon Grill at Arundel Mills is another solid pick for a rib-heavy dinner.
For mains, Deke went with the Half Chicken ($26), and it was extremely juicy – served with mashed potatoes, haricot verts, and garlic jus. I ordered the NY Strip ($42) and it was 12 ounces of perfectly cooked medium-rare magic with herbed butter on top. It came with mashed potatoes and a seasonal vegetable, and every bite was just so satisfying.
A few quick notes because they matter: the service was fantastic, and a big shoutout to Ed for taking such wonderful care of us. The space itself is also really lovely – warm, polished, and spacious without feeling stiff – so if you’re looking for a great option for a private event in Howard County, this spot is definitely worth keeping on your radar. They also have a wonderful happy hour at the bar, which is always a win when you want something casual but still really well done.
One more thing: they run various specials throughout the week, so it’s worth checking their website before you go (you might catch promos like kids-eat-free nights, wine deals, or brunch specials depending on the day).
