Hey dessert lovers, today’s post is for *you*! Located in Maplelawn, Decadent’s an award-winning spot with everything from delectable cakes to house-crafted root beer and gelato. So, let’s talk noms!
Here’s everything Deke and I tried:
- Caramel Pumpkin Latte: As a pumpkin enthusiast, I couldn’t resist giving this seasonal drink a try. The combination of caramel and pumpkin was perfection, and you even have the option of making it boozy if you’d like.
- Affogato with Vanilla Gelato: Espresso and vanilla gelato go so well together. The sweetness of the gelato perfectly balanced the rich espresso, and I love that they were so heavy handed with their scoops.
- Brownie Skillet with Vanilla Gelato: The contrast of hot and cold is always a pro move IMO, and this brownie skillet was no exception. I enjoyed the affogato a lot more though. Next time, I want to try their cookie skillet & lava cake, lol.
Additional Notes for you:
- Easy Parking: there’s a big lot available so no need to circle around =)
- Coffee Beans: Decadent works with a small batch roaster for their coffee beans & they sell bags to go on site.
- Breakfast and Happy Hour: they offer breakfast options – think toasts, sammies, and waffles – and have happy hour specials from Monday to Saturday.
- Pup-Friendly Treats: LOVE that they offer housemade doggie treats here. I would’ve loved to spoil Daisy with some, but she’s diabetic =(
