Where Maryland Locals Get Their Crabs – Conrad’s Crabs Parkville
If you’re on the hunt for the best steamed crabs in Maryland, Conrad’s Crabs in Parkville needs to be on your radar. My parents were visiting recently and really wanted crabs, so we decided to order takeout from Conrad’s for their last meal here. Safe to say, it ended up being their favorite dinner of the entire trip — and honestly, I couldn’t agree more.
The crabs were fresh, flavorful, and packed with meat. Conrad’s also runs daily crab specials, which makes indulging even easier.
What We Ordered
2 Dozen Large Males – $125
We went for one of their crab specials and grabbed two dozen large males for $125. SUCH a good deal, especially considering how big these crabs were. They were absolutely loaded with meat, and everyone at the table was happy (and stuffed).
Cole Slaw – $2.99 (1/2 Pint)
A simple, classic side – solid and refreshing.
Crab Dip Egg Rolls – $12.50
These were definitely yummy but not my favorite. The chipotle aioli that came with them was tasty, but felt a little heavy paired with the egg rolls. Still worth getting if you’re a crab dip fan though.
Half & Half Soup – $5.99 (1/2 Pint)
This was a standout for me. Flavorful, comforting, and perfect, especially for fall.
Atmosphere & Vibes
Conrad’s Parkville is strictly takeout-only, which makes it super convenient when you want to enjoy fresh steamed crabs at home (or pack them up for a family feast). They do operate other restaurants with dine-in options, but the Parkville location is all about fast, reliable pickup. I recommend ordering ahead if you don’t want to wait.
If you’re already in Parkville and want to add a real sit-down meal to the day, James Fiesta Grill is a made-to-order Filipino hidden gem tucked into a nearby shopping center, with lechon kawali, pancit bihon, and halo-halo worth knowing about. And if you want that Maryland crab cake fix delivered anywhere in the country, check out my review of Pappas Seafood Co.’s crab cakes, a Baltimore institution since 1972 that ships their award-winning jumbo lump crab cakes and crab soups nationwide.

Conrad’s Crabs is easily one of the best spots for steamed crabs in Maryland. Between the generous portions, daily specials, and consistently fresh seafood, it’s the kind of place you’ll find yourself coming back to again and again.
If you’re a crab lover, this is one stop you don’t want to miss. And if you’ve already been, let me know what your go-to order is in the comments, Nomsters.
