I Finally Tried Blondie’s Doughnuts, and I Get the Hype

December 26, 2025

Update: this spot has permanently closed, so it is no longer open to visit. I am keeping the review up for posterity.

I’m SO glad I finally made it to Blondie’s Doughnuts, because wow, they absolutely live up to the hype. These might honestly be some of the best brioche donuts I’ve ever had, and yes… they were 100% worth the drive.

I wasn’t sure if they were going to be overly sweet (you know how some filled donuts can be), but they were perfectly balanced. Even my mom loved them, and that’s saying a LOT because she’s extremely picky when it comes to desserts.

I went with the 4 for $15 deal and chose all filled donuts because… duh. I’m a sucker for a good filling, and let’s be real, opening them up on camera is super fun, lol.

Here’s what we tried: Chocolate Darling, which was dark chocolate ganache perfection – rich, smooth, and not overpowering, and easily one of my favorites. ‘Nana Pudding was creamy and nostalgic, and it surprised me in the best way, definitely earning second place.

Caramel Cheesecake was decadent with just the right amount of sweetness, making it a total crowd-pleaser. And Lemon Meringue was bright and tangy. If you love lemon desserts, this one is a must. Every single donut was fluffy magic, the kind of noms you keep thinking about long after it’s gone.

A Few Good Things to Know

  • Located in a small strip mall with free parking (always a win)
  • They also sell savory items, drinks, and other pastries
  • I really want to try their cinnamon rolls next time 👀
  • They’re only open Friday through Sunday, so plan accordingly

Blondie’s Doughnuts is one of those spots that just gets it — think indulgent without being overwhelming. If you’re a donut lover (or just someone who appreciates a really good treat), this place needs to be on your list. Have you tried their noms yet? Let me know your favorite flavor in the comments, Nomsters!

If you’re ever down at the beach, Fractured Prune in Ocean City needs to be on that list too, it’s a total boardwalk institution for made-to-order donuts. —
