A Guide to Must-Try Cheesesteaks in MD
Alright Nomsters, it’s time for another roundup, and this one’s all about cheesesteaks! Whether you like yours classic, loaded with peppers and onions, or stuffed inside a crispy roll dripping with cheese, Maryland’s got some seriously solid options. Here are five must-try spots (in no particular order):

1️⃣ Cheesesteak Co.
This Elkridge gem lives up to every bit of the hype. They’re known for their delicious cheesesteaks, but the menu doesn’t stop there — you’ll also find hand-rolled egg rolls, smashburgers, and plenty more.
📍 6500 Washington Blvd, Elkridge
⏰ M-Sa 11-9pm, Su 11-8pm
2️⃣ Soko Butcher
One of my favorite sandwich shops, hands down. I love their team, and their food always slaps. Their cheesesteak is easily one of the best in Maryland – flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and stuffed with meat.
📍 7306 Carroll Avenue, Takoma Park
⏰ M-Fr 11-7pm, Sa-Su 9-7pm
3️⃣ Frank’s Pizza and Pasta
A local favorite that always delivers. They serve up fantastic cheesesteaks alongside other Italian classics. Pro tip: don’t leave without grabbing a slice of their Detroit-style pizza – it’s as good, if not even better than their cheesesteak IMO.
📍6620 Belair Rd, Baltimore
⏰ T-Th 11-9pm, Fr-Sa 11-10pm, Su 12-9pm
4️⃣ 5th and Steaks
This new-ish food truck in Catonsville is run by owners straight from South Philly, and it shows. The menu’s short and sweet – just cheesesteaks and a few fry options – but every bite hits. Their long-hot aioli is pure fire as well so make sure you get a side of that for dipping.
📍 1140 N Rolling Rd Lot A, Catonsville
⏰ W-Su 11-8pm (or till sellout)
5️⃣ Eataliano Market and Deli
These massive cheesesteaks will absolutely hit the spot. They also make a killer New York-style pizza, viral cheesesteak rolls, and dreamy cannolis. YUM.

📍 5325 Phelps Luck Drive, Columbia
⏰ Su-Th 10-9:30pm, Fr-Sa 10-1:30pm
