When I asked you guys for the best donuts in town, so many of you said Bakery Express Cafe, and you weren’t wrong, lol. Between the donuts, the decadent desserts, and the unbeatable prices, this spot is absolutely worth a visit.
What You’ll Find at Bakery Express Cafe
Bakery Express Cafe isn’t just about donuts (though they’re definitely the main attraction). Here’s what makes them stand out:
- Donuts galore – self-serve case with a wide variety, from glazed to filled
- Hygiene first – gloves are required for self-serve
- BOGO Donut Tuesdays – every Tuesday at 3 PM, donuts are buy-one-get-one free
- Desserts beyond donuts – cakes, cheesecakes, pastries, and more
- Savory menu – I hear their food is solid as well, so that’s on my list for next time
What I Ordered
Half Dozen Donuts ($4.99)
That comes out to about 83 cents each — an outstanding price. My favorite was the powdered raspberry filled donut, soft and pillowy with just the right amount of sweetness. The apple fritter was another highlight, crispy on the outside and full of apple flavor.
Chocolate Ganache Cheesecake ($4.50/slice)
Surprisingly, this was my favorite treat of the day. Rich, decadent, and a dream for chocolate lovers. It’s an absolute must if you have a sweet tooth. Let’s just say there was some competition over the last bite.
