Let’s talk carbs, friends. TBH, I love carbs so much, even a bad bagel is a good bagel in my book, lol. One of my go-to spots in the MD burbs is Bagels ‘n Grinds. Located in Hanover (with a second location in College Park), they’re known for their NY style bagels.

They’re baked fresh daily starting at 5:30AM, and they have a $50k water treatment facility on site that’s their secret sauce. Apparently, the ultra-purified water levels their bagels up.
A lot of people think NY bagels & pizza are the best, and many credit the water for it! They say, even if you have the SAME ingredients, your result will be subpar because the water’s different. Super curious to hear what you guys think about this, lol.
ANYWHO, I like to get their bagels in bulk. My go to move is the bagel combo! You get 13 bagels + 2 cream cheese for $23.99, which is a great deal since it’d be $35.85 without the bundle.
I LOVE their everything, whole wheat, garlic, asiago cheese, jalapeño cheddar, and egg. Those are all really good, but egg is actually my favorite. As for cream cheese, I highly recommend the veggie and chive.
IMO, the bulk bagels are the move here! I’ve tried different sandwiches, and I feel like the simple bagel + cream cheese combo is always the most delicious. The sammies are a little bland for my taste, but maybe you will feel differently?
