Are Sandy Pony Donuts Worth the Hype?

October 7, 2023

Alright Nomsters, way too many people told me to go to Sandy Pony Donuts so I finally did, lol. It was my first time, and I thought their donuts were AMAZING so yes, I will 200% be back!

Their donuts are made to order, and you literally watch them take out your freshly fried noms and coat ‘em on the spot. What’s not to love about that, lol. TBH, I’m not a huge cake donut person, but these were really fantastic. Warm and so, so soft. I just couldn’t get enough!!!

So, here are the flavors I got:

🍩Ms. Sandy – honey glaze + cinnamon sugar
🍩Porky Pony – honey glaze, cinnamon sugar + bacon
🍩Mud Pie – chocolate glaze + chocolate sprinkles
🍩Blueberry Pie – blueberry glaze, powdered sugar + graham cracker
🍩Salted Caramel – caramel glaze + pretzels
🍩Thin Mint – mint glaze + oreo crumble

They were all really good, but the mud pie was probably my favorite with the blueberry pie coming in as a close second. I LOVE super chocolatey stuff, so it really hit the spot for me.

A single donut costs $1.75. If you’re planning to share with friends or family, you can opt for a half dozen, which will set you back $9.33. And for those who simply can’t resist, a dozen is priced at $15.69, and that includes tax!

There are 24 unique flavors to choose from aka there’s something for everyone. And if that’s not enough, you can even create your own donut masterpiece, giving you unlimited possibilities. They also has gluten-free options available so feel free to bring frands with dietary restrctions!

If you’re a fan of creative donut flavors, you’ll also want to check out my review of Diablo Doughnuts in Nottingham, they’ve got some seriously playful options too.

PS. the offerings don’t stop at donuts. For those of you interested, they also offer bubble tea and acai bowls. So, whether you’re in the mood for something sweet or looking for a healthier option, this place has got you covered on all fronts.

And if you’re not in the immediate area, they have a few other locations in Virginia and Delaware. So, what are you waiting for? Head over today and treat yourself to a truly nom experience.

If you’re closer to Glen Burnie, Arundel Donuts is a cash only gem that’s just as worth the trip, and Big Belly Deli in Sykesville does small-batch flavors that sell out fast if you’d rather keep the hunt Maryland only.
