A Hidden Sandwich Gem in Linthicum Heights
It’s been on my list for ages, and I finally made the trip with Deke, and wow, I’ll 200% be back. This small business is family-run by father-son duo Bill and Adamm Houck, and between their stacked menu of 38 hot and cold sandwiches + wraps, hearty breakfast options, and daily specials, it’s safe to say they’ve earned a loyal following.
What You’ll Find at Adamms Deli
What makes Adamms Deli stand out is the combination of big flavors, generous portions, and true small-biz hospitality. A few things to know:
- Sandwich Variety – 38 different options covering hot, cold, and wraps.
- Breakfast Menu – Early hours mean you can grab breakfast too.
- Local Favorite – They’re famous for their crab cake sandwich (on my list for next time).
- Daily Specials – Always something new if you want to branch out.
- Casual Vibes – The inside is decorated with Maryland pride and plenty of tables if you want to dine in.
What We Ordered
Here’s a peek at what we tried on our first visit:
Steak & Cheese ($12.50)
Grilled chopped steak, provolone, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Perfectly balanced, tender steak, and great meat-to-bread ratio. Would absolutely order again.
The Gambler ($12.50)
Turkey, roast beef, provolone, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, and spicy mayo on sourdough. Packed with meat and seriously delicious. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for a cold sandwich.
Chicken Parm Sub ($12.50)
Deke’s pick! While not my personal fave of the bunch, it was still a solid choice with crispy chicken and tangy sauce.
French Fries ($3.75)
Extra crispy and golden. The thoughtful detail? They dropped in a fresh batch right as I came for pickup. SUPER thoughtful.
Why It’s Worth a Stop
Adamms Deli is more than just another sandwich shop. It’s the kind of local spot that puts care into both the food and the experience. From the massive portions to the friendly service, it’s a place I know I’ll keep coming back to.
The convenient Linthicum Heights location with a huge parking lot makes it an easy stop, and with everything priced fairly (most sandwiches around $12.50), it’s an incredible value for what you get.
And yes, next time I’ll be trying that famous crab cake sandwich – if you beat me to it, let me know how it is in the comments!
