SO excited to spotlight this hidden gem in Olney. For Day 33 of #100AsianRestaurantsInMarylandm, I’m taking you guys to one of the most unexpected gems in Montgomery County. Let me put you on: 168 Asian Burrito is located inside the Exxon on Georgia Ave in Olney… and yes, it absolutely lives up to the hype. Before you scroll past because I said “gas station,” trust me. This spot is lovely.
What to order at 168 Burrito

If it’s your first time, here’s exactly what I recommend:
- Shrimp Tempura Burrito ($12.25): This is my usual go-to. It’s packed, satisfying, and gives you that perfect crispy shrimp bite wrapped up in sushi burrito form. It’s generous in size and hits every time.
- Bun Combo (3 for $13.49): This is SUCH a good deal. You can mix and match three different buns. On this visit, I went with their pork belly bun and tofu bun. The pork’s rich and flavorful, while the tofu is a great lighter option that still brings texture and flavor. They also offer other protein options depending on what you’re craving.
Don’t skip the boba…
You already know I’m not leaving without a drink. The Black Soymilk Tea is $4.30 and a yum option. It’s smooth, slightly nutty, and pairs great with their food. If you’re already stopping in, you might as well make it a full meal, ha.
There’s something I love about finding incredible food in unexpected places. Gas station gems always feel like insider knowledge, and this one absolutely qualifies. A huge shoutout to Chef Peter for letting us film him in action. Watching everything come together behind the counter just makes the experience even better.
If you’re already out in Olney, Brew Belly is worth adding to the trip for loaded cheesesteaks, craft beer, and poutine in a casual gastropub setup.
